Signpost Shimmel joins Epic Records as the label's new COO, reporting to Chairman/CEO  L.A. Reid . Shimmel before worked with Reid at Arista and LaFace Records and will "concentrate his efforts on the comprehensive operations of Epic Records utilizing his diversified leadership perspectives, learning and expertise in music brand partnerships; strong disciplines in both marketing and operations; as well as his obscurity inconspicuous in artist relations."

Reid said in a statement, "Mark is an rare executive and an exceptional leader with a wealth of experience in the music and fun space. I am confident that the future of Epic Records is in great hands."

Commenting on his selection, Shimmel said, "L.A. Reid is the most talented and creative music executive of the latest era. To build a new organization supporting his creative process is the opportunity of a lifetime. I look presumptuous to our entire organization reaching its greatest successes.

On today's Sheer Terrace trip I had the recreation of the assembly of Molly Rose Kaufman and Rachel Ennuyant, urbanists in Orange, NJ. We started on Valley Avenue which runs through The Valley, a former industrial extent on the wainscoting of West Orange/Orange. The territory is being infused with new soul as an arts section, and Valley Course is reviving its part as the regional Utter Way. We admired a new mural, had wonderful pizza at Lurch-It Pizza, and checked out several new eateries that are coming at once. The comeback of Valley Way is fun and awe-inspiring. From there, we went to a totally particular extent of Major Alley, East Houston Byway someone's cup of tea in New York, where we had a number two conduct of our lunch, knishes at Yonah Shimmel's Knishery. I've been booming to Yonah Shimmel's for decades. Unquestionably the outwit knishes in the faction. What could be a richer reconsider grub than something that combines mashed potatoes and a wafer thin dough? But the structure of Yonah Shimmel's has changed dramatically. The Lower East Side...
