As the TNM Wonderful League wraps up tomorrow, on the surface much of the attention will be the battle for the title between defending champions Escom Collaborative, Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers.

However, beyond the tip of the iceberg another battle is raging for the top six positions.

This is the clash that will ultimately determine which teams will automatically qualify to play in the Type Bank Knock Out Trophy this year.

The two antagonists on the last day of the season hand are defending champions Escom and Silver but then Wanderers are also in the picture as they face Moyale in the Northern Department.

At Kamuzu Stadium it's going to be a very tough afternoon as Escom Common hope to keep the title they won last season while Silver will be hoping to take back the title they gave up to the defending champions two seasons ago.

When Escom Synergetic chairman Fanuel Nkhono looks back at how they started the season with a 3-1 win over Silver in Lilongwe, he believes the end is not customary to be much different.
